Hello and welcome!

I’m Jane Sartain. I’m a wife, mother of two teens and a pet mom to many.  I’m also an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, an essential oil educator and a student of aromatherapy.

My life is full and so very blessed.  My journey to wellness, like many others, has had its’ own ebbs and flows.  However, I was thrown a huge curve ball in 2010 when, at the age of 47, I heard those dreaded words, “you have breast cancer”.

I’ve always had an interest in health; but, that interest massively intensified with a cancer diagnosis.  I was in disbelief. How could this be? I was healthier than I had ever been and of course, all the “what ifs” started flooding in.

It was then I went into survival mode.

My treatment took 8 months and my recovery process took years. I continuously looked for ways to feel healthy and whole again. I was physically and emotionally spent.  The brain fog, no energy, no zest for life days became overwhelming not to mention the weight gain that came as a result of being catapulted into menopause. Yet, I had two small children and I wanted my life back.

I just knew there had to be a way to feel better.

As I continued my search for a solution, I found the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I studied with the world's top health and wellness experts and learned practical lifestyle management techniques. I studied over 100 dietary theories – Ayurveda, Gluten-free, Paleo, Raw, Vegan, Macrobiotics, and everything in between.  My education equipped me with extensive, cutting-edge knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and prevention.

It was during this year of learning and growing that I finally started to heal.  Small consistent changes began to yield great results and I emerged as a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach.

My journey took me a step further with my desire to live a preventive and toxin free lifestyle. I started learning all that I could about natural alternatives and slowly changed out habits and products in our home. I was then introduced to essential oils and became an educator on what they are, how they work and why we should use them. My family started experiencing great results which solidified my belief in natural alternatives. I’m currently continuing my studies at this time through the New York Institute of Aromatic Studies as I pursue my aromatherapy certification.

I truly feel as if my life has come full circle.

Yes, I had cancer but I not only survived, I thrived and I’ve received so many blessings along the way. It was through that journey, my life was forever changed. I am very passionate about natural health for people AND pets. I know first hand how simple lifestyle changes can produce big results if only they are given a chance.

My goal is to empower you and your family with improved nutrition, a reduced toxic load and stress management skills. Drawing on my expertise with innovative coaching methods, I work with my clients to help make these lifestyle changes and choose health-promoting ways that produce real and lasting results.

If you are ready, I would love to be your guide to natural health, where ever you are in your journey. After all, YOU are the best project you will ever work on and YOU are so worth it! Be your best!

In health,

Jane Sartain, INHC, AADP

How My Trinity Rescued Me…

Trinity on the page IMG_6887 (2).jpg

It was during my first year of cancer recovery, that I rescued a dog named Trinity from a rural shelter in North Carolina. I had always been an animal advocate for as long as I could remember. In the days following treatment, I was in such a fog and I hated it. At some point, I starting networking shelter dogs in an effort to help save them. It was something I could do that took no physical effort yet made a big impact on shelter dogs lives. One day I saw Trinity. She was on the shelters euthanasia list. Something about her tugged heavy on my heart strings. I rescued her without question. I just knew I had to get to her. Now I know why as she truly rescued me. You see, she was sick too. She had heart worms and even though we didn’t know it at the time, she also had breast cancer. Caring for her right after I finished my treatment allowed me to redirect my mind to something positive as I had little energy left for much else.

Trinity succumbed to her cancer just two years later but she was loved beyond measure in the interim.

My deep core passion is pets. Trinity’s Rescue Fund is my way of giving back to a world that has given so much to me. The animal rescue world. Animal rescuers are truly angels on earth. I am fully aware of their tireless efforts to save and re-home shelter pets as well as step up to fill the need for an abused or neglected animal. Trinity’s Fund is my way of supporting three of our local rescues who do just that on a daily basis.
